No degree needed—we're looking for people who are curious about AI, comfortable with numbers, and ready to learn.
This programme develops a wide range of foundational and applied data skills that are directly transferable to a variety of job roles, including Junior Data Analyst, Marketing Assistant, Operations Coordinator, and BI Technician.
As well as gaining experience with industry tools, learners will improve interpersonal and professional skills such as communication, stakeholder reporting, and project delivery. You'll work with live data, build visual reports, and communicate insights that support your team's strategic goals.
Confidence in Compliance
Learners are trained in GDPR, regulatory requirements, and ethical data practices. They are taught how to handle sensitive data securely and responsibly from day one.
Core Tools for Real Work
Learners gain confidence with Excel, Google Sheets, Airtable, pivot tables, dashboards, formulas, and more. These tools are supported by structured training in cross checking techniques and data validation to improve accuracy and clarity in real-world settings.
AI-Enabled Insights
Learners will use AI tools to support research, reporting, and visualisation—gaining productivity benefits while understanding how to manage the risks and ethical implications of AI use in the digital landscape.

Throughout the apprenticeship, learners apply their knowledge to real, role-relevant projects within their company. These projects are designed to drive business outcomes and solve real challenges with measurable impact.
Expert Mentorship
Learners are guided through a combination of structured lessons, 1:1 mentoring, and scenario demonstrations, ensuring they develop the practical confidence to use data independently and collaboratively in their teams.
Understanding Business Data (Months 1–2)
- Focus: Data safety, GDPR, AI ethics, and working responsibly with data
- Learners complete real-world exercises and case studies to build a solid understanding of safe data practices, governance, and privacy.
- Outcome: Learners are trusted to work safely and responsibly with sensitive business data using basic methods grounded in compliance.
Data Tools & Reporting Fundamentals (Months 3–5)
- Focus: Practical spreadsheet tools and core reporting techniques
- Learners: Using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and Airtable, learners will clean, structure, and visualise data to support team operations. They’ll also apply cross checking techniques and validation processes to improve data quality.
- Outcome: Learners produce structured, clear, and compliant data outputs that enhance team decision-making.
AI-Enhanced Analysis & Visualisation (Months 6–9)
- Focus: Using AI to improve analysis, research, and data communication
- Learners explore how to automate routine data tasks, identify trends, and visualise findings using AI and automation tools.
- Outcome: Learners use AI confidently and strategically to enhance their own productivity and insight delivery.
Business-Specific Strategy & Projects (Months 10–15)
- Focus: Applying skills within Marketing, Operations, or Business Intelligence
- Learners choose a specialist track and complete a final project based on real workplace challenges. They’ll draw on a range of sources, tools, and analytical approaches.
- Outcome: A final project that directly benefits the business, delivering measurable ROI and demonstrating job-readiness for real-world job roles.
By the end of this apprenticeship, learners will be able to:
- Handle data securely and ethically – Understanding GDPR, data protection laws, AI ethics, and regulatory requirements
- Clean, structure, and prepare data – Using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, and Airtable for structured and compliant analysis
- Create clear reports and dashboards – Applying visualisation tools and statistical methods for accessible insights
- Use AI to support data tasks – Automating tasks and improving insight delivery
- Work across business functions – Using data to support decisions in marketing, operations, and BI
- Communicate insights clearly – Presenting reports to stakeholders with confidence and clarity
- Deliver workplace value – Applying everything in a final project aligned with business goals
- Demonstrate qualification and readiness – Aligned to the official apprenticeship standard with a recognised end-point assessment
The typical duration is 24 months, but most learners complete it in 15–18 months depending on prior experience.
Before starting, every learner completes a personalised skills gap analysis to determine the best path forward. This includes a review of Functional Skills (maths and English), if needed, and support to meet required levels for the relevant qualification.
Coaching and Personalisation
Each learner is assigned a technical coach with industry experience who provides guidance, accountability, and feedback throughout the apprenticeship.
Specialist Workshops and Field Trips
We offer extra workshops in areas such as:
- API integration and data automation
- Agile project planning
- Data storytelling and visualisation
- Advanced spreadsheet modelling
- Ethics and AI governance
Learners also benefit from field trips to:
