Join Us in Creating the New Level 4 UX Apprenticeship Standard

I am excited to share an incredible opportunity for SMEs and industry professionals to get involved in shaping the curriculum for the new Level 4 UX Apprenticeship. This initiative is particularly close to my heart, as I previously led the employer group to create the Software Developer Level 4 apprenticeship, and I'm thrilled to be back in a similar capacity.

Why We Need Your Help

User Experience (UX) is a critical aspect of modern digital products, and there is a clear gap for a Level 4 apprenticeship dedicated to this field. While there are elements of UX in other apprenticeships like testing, product management, and business analysis, a focused UX apprenticeship at this level is essential for building foundational skills that improve user and customer experiences.

How You Can Get Involved

We are forming a Trailblazer group to help shape the curriculum for this new standard. Your expertise and insights will ensure that the apprenticeship meets the needs of the industry and provides real-world value. We are particularly keen to have strong representation from SMEs, as part of our mission is to make apprenticeships highly effective for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Ways to Participate

  • Curriculum Development: Provide input and help us review what will be included in the training.
  • Upskilling Opportunities: If you have someone on your team who could benefit from this qualification, or if you have a UX team ready to take on an apprentice, we want to hear from you.
  • General Interest: Even if you're simply interested in contributing your insights, your involvement would be greatly appreciated.

Next Steps

We plan to start two cohorts of around 12 learners later this year, with a potential third cohort in early 2025. If you are interested in getting involved, please fill out the interest form, and we will get in touch with more details about the process.

Help us create a UX apprenticeship standard that truly meets the needs of our industry. Your participation will make a significant difference.

Your expertise can help shape the future of UX education. Let’s make a lasting impact together.
