Outcomes First: What Changed After the Bootcamp
- 40% growth in team size
- 20% year-on-year increase in turnover
- Faster project delivery, fewer blockers, stronger feedback from clients
- A more confident team that embraces agile and AI workflows
These are the real-world results we’ve seen after one of our team members completed The Coders Guild’s Digital Project Management Bootcamp.
And we’re not alone. More agencies are waking up to the fact that if you want to stay competitive, project management isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s essential.
What It’s Like Running a Small Agency
Running a small agency means everyone chips in.
At Brand Ambition, we have specialists in SEO, content, PR, design, and development. But in reality, everyone wears multiple hats. That means managing overlapping priorities, understanding delivery, and keeping projects moving often without formal PM training.
We work in sprints. We move fast. We’ve integrated AI into nearly everything we do. But speed without structure can only get you so far.
Marketing is one of those services that everyone has an opinion on, and AI is making it harder to prove value. An agency owner I spoke to the other day said:
“The whole industry is under attack by AI, and we need to prove experience and strategy out lasts a ChatGPT prompt” — and I couldn’t agree more.
How the Bootcamp Helped Dylan — and it was essential for us
Dylan, one of our content leads, is a talented writer. But as we scaled, he began to struggle with balancing creativity and delivery. Client expectations, deadlines, and sprint cycles became harder to manage, not due to lack of talent, but lack of training.
The Digital Project Management Bootcamp gave us a solution.
Before the course started, The Coders Guild spoke with us about what we wanted Dylan to gain. This wasn’t off-the-shelf training. It was tailored. Dylan came back with new frameworks and real confidence. Today, he leads sprint planning, supports onboarding, and helps keep projects on track.
It was a turning point for him — and for our delivery model.
Why Project Management Training Matters…Especially Now
If you run a digital agency or any similar service, you’re probably seeing the same shifts we are:
- More clients adopting AI
- More complexity in delivering multi-channel campaigns
- More pressure to deliver fast, without sacrificing quality
Project management training directly addresses all of that.
Project management training provides the structure to meet those demands.
According to Wrike’s State of Project Management Report (2022), 82% of accidental project managers never received formal training.
The Project Management Institute reports that only 23% of organisations consistently complete projects successfully, with poor project management being a top reason.
In today’s market, efficiency and smart planning are business-critical.

What’s Next for Us: Stronger Integration via Apprenticeships
With the success of the Project Management Bootcamp, it’s shown us that this sort of education needs to be added to the foundation of the agency.
We’ve always been early adopters of AI, building our own internal processes across SEO, PPC, content, and strategy. But like many agencies, we’ve done it all in-house.
We took on an apprentice with The Coders Guild to help provide support in key areas around the business and are now working with them on integrating better AI into our processes.
We have a Creative Director in his late 60’s. Do you think when Adobe took over the market he stuck to drawing things on pen and paper? Of course not — he adapted and still is. He’s easily one of the best we have at getting what we need from Midjourney.
For us, that’s why external training and support is so important.
Final Word
Since Dylan completed the course, we’ve grown our team by 40 percent. Turnover is up by 20 percent. We’re delivering more projects, with fewer blockers and better outcomes.
The Coders Guild hasn’t just helped us upskill. They’ve helped us evolve.
And we’re just getting started.
