Who this is for

Who this is for

Anyone whose work would go faster with AI but who hasn’t had the time or support to start using AI at work properly. You might already be using ChatGPT or Claude in a scrappy way and getting less out of it than you should. Or you’ve been told to “look into AI” and don’t know where to begin.

This is AI training for beginners, built around your actual job. Small business teams, ops and admin roles, managers, freelancers – if you can use email and a spreadsheet, you’re ready.

Making decisions about AI for the business rather than doing the work yourself? AI for Leaders is built for that. If you’re not yet confident using the tools in your own work, start here first – Foundations is the front door to everything else we run.

What Will You Learn

  • What AI tools can and can’t do, and how to tell the difference before you rely on them
  • Set up and use tools like Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot in your own role
  • Find the low-risk places in your work to start using AI
  • Write prompts that get consistent, useful results, and build a reusable prompt library
  • Set up your own AI learning buddy – a properly configured project that keeps helping you after the course ends

Format

Three weekly sessions, delivered remotely in small groups with an expert instructor. The week between sessions is deliberate: you go away, try things in your own work, and bring back what happened. From session two, each session opens with group coaching on how your takeaway task went.

This isn’t lecture-style learning. You’ll be working with your own tasks and tools as we go.

Outcomes

This course was built by the team that led the R&D with Skills England to create the UK’s Level 4 AI and Automation Apprenticeship. We run our own business on Claude and other AI tools – what we teach is what we actually use.

Entirely practical and tool-agnostic. Bring Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or whatever you’re already using.

By the end of the course, you’ll be using AI confidently in your own work – with a set-up that keeps teaching you.

Individual outcomes

  • Confident using Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot for real tasks in your role
  • A reusable prompt library built around your actual work
  • Your own AI learning buddy: a set-up project with instructions and context that keeps developing after we’ve gone

Team outcomes

  • A shared baseline, so everyone in the business means the same thing by “using AI”
  • Less time lost to trial and error with tools you already pay for
  • A clear view of who should go further, and in which direction

What’s in the course

Session 1 – Course Intro and Orientation

A plain-English tour of AI tools and their real limits. What AI is good at, what it’s bad at, and how to tell the difference before you rely on it.

Session 2 – Getting Started with AI at Work

Applying AI to your actual role. Projects, files and context, where AI already shows up in your business, and the low-risk places to start.

Session 3 – Using AI Well, and Building Your Learning Buddy

Prompting properly using a five-part framework, building a reusable prompt library, and setting up a personal learning project that keeps developing after the course finishes.

One course, two ways in. Book yourself a place, or talk to us about your team.

Learners

Booking for yourself? Three sessions, £495 + VAT. Book now and we’ll send your cohort dates and joining details.

Employers

Putting a team through? You can book up to 12 places directly with the Book Now button. But if you’re committing several people, you’ll probably want a quick conversation first – about dates, who to send, and whether a closed course on your own dates makes more sense. That’s what this is for.

FAQs

FAQs

Do I need any AI or tech background to join?
No. This is an entry-level AI course for business users, not developers. If you can use email and a web browser, you’re ready.
Whatever your business already uses. Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot – everything we cover works across the main tools. A paid plan on your chosen tool gets you the most from the course, and we’ll tell you exactly what you need before you start.
Remote delivery via video call, in small groups. Instructor-led and hands-on, with time for questions and coaching on your own work.
Yes, and it’s usually the better way to do it – a team that trains together comes out with a shared way of working, not one enthusiast. Book multiple places, or get in touch about a closed course run just for your business.
Depends where you’re heading. If you’ll be making decisions about AI across the business, AI for Leaders picks up from here. If you want to go deeper on doing the work yourself, our follow-on courses and the Level 4 AI and Automation Apprenticeship take you further – and the apprenticeship is government-funded for most employers.
